Testimonials from students:

“This project will help me incredibly to know the various roles the Pavilion has played in the community for when I speak to the Pavilion visitors – I want to ask if anyone remembers or visited the sun parlour!”

“Knowing about the history is important to understand the project.  Also as we interview people involved with the Marina Ballroom we can show knowledge and understanding.”

“The trip to St Fagans was really interesting.  We experienced what a house would’ve looked like in the 1940’s – it was very basic as the war had started and therefore the windows were blacked out and rationing was an evident strain on the family’s food supplies. We learned that there was not much on the family’s plates, vegetables were home-grown which they had to tend to themselves on any spare land they had.  It was a real eye opener!”
