The work covers a wide range of materials exploring their potential to embody and express ideas. For some time the varied aspects of water have been the focus including its structure, behaviour, altered states and multiple associations. Although a sense of connection and continuity runs through the work it is currently moving in a new direction towards issues of disconnection and displacement.
I moved to Wales from London nine years ago and have combined exhibiting, commissions and residencies in this country and in an International Sculpture Park in Lithuania . The residencies have combined work with schools, local communities and environmental trust volunteers. The work has an environmental and sustainable emphasis and solar power for self-circulating water sculptures and re-cycled and re-usable materials combined with new technologies are special interests.
