Richard O’Connell, of Penarth, is a well known landscape artist who has shown widely in South Wales; he was trained at the John Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University before returning to Cardiff to teach.

Studied Art at Swansea School Of Art – 1965-66. Norwich School of Art 1966-69
The Ruskin School Of Drawing, Oxford University 1972-74.

Studio established in Penarth since 1982.
Solo exhibitions:-
Washington Gallery – Penarth – 2001-2007.
Turner House Gallery Penarth ( Penarth Seafront 1894-1994.)
First Prize at Rhondda Heritage Park Open – 2007.
Member of VOGA. Vale of Glamorgan Artists since 2002.
