The Origins of Photography project, funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund offered three workshops to the public as an introduction to the little used technique of pinhole photography. Tutors Gary Waters and Mabel Odyssey are both artists widely exhibited in their own right. A selection of photographs by the participants will go on display with some of Mabel Odyssey's photographs.

Mae Dechreuad Ffotograffiaeth, a ariannwyd gan Gronfa Treftadaeth y Loteri yn cynnig tri gweithdy i'r cyhoedd fel cyflwyniad I dechneg prin ei defnydd erbyn hyn, sef ffotograffiaeth pinlun. Mae'r tiwtoriaid, Gary Waters a Mabel Odyssey, ill dau yn artistiaid sydd wedi arddangos yn eang eu hunain. Mae detholiad o ffotograffau gan y rhai sy'n cymryd rhan yn cael eu dangos ynghyd â rhai o ffotograffau Mabel Odyssey.

M.E. Workshop Show
Lower Gallery / Yr Oriel Isaf

The second exhibition features work by Young People with M.E. (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) not able to attend school and often isolated by their illness. This workshop, funded by the Arts Council of Wales, was unique in that participants took part without leaving their homes. Photographer Suzanne Greenslade, who herself has recovered from M.E., visited the young people who created a visual diary of their lives and experiences. The body of work produced is poignant, giving voice to years of frustration and illness.

Mae'r ail arddangosffa'n dangos gwaith gan Bobl Ifanc ag M.E. (Syndrom Blinder Cronig) nad fedrant fynychu ysgol oherwydd eu salwch. Mae'r gweithdy yma, a ariannwyd gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, yn unigryw gan i'r rhai a gymerodd ran wneud hynny heb adael eu cartrefi. Ymwelodd y ffotograffydd Suzanne Greenslade, sydd ei hunan yn gwella o M.E., â'r bobl ifanc a greodd ddyddiadur gweledol o'u bywydau a'u profiad. Mae'r corf o waith a gynhyrchwyd yn ingol, ac yn rhoi llais i flynyddoedd o rwystredigaeth a salwch.
