Myths and fairytales explore the realities beneath everyday life.By abandoning the banal, artists expose the fears and the hopes we usually fear to recognise. Fantasy is the gateway to catharsis
Several artists will contribute to this exhibition whose subject matter ranges from the Mabinogion to western traditional fairytales and myths related to the sea.
Included in Myths and Fairytales – an exhibition specially funded by the Arts Council of Wales – are the ceramicist Meri Wells, painters Michael Gustavius Payne, Heloise Godfrey and Nick Hughes together with Alice Perceval who is exploring the Fisher King myth through her recent art
