Children from Cathays High School will be visiting the Washington Gallery from 16 - 20th January to take part in a workshop using recycled materials.
The children will be working with artist Patricia Clifford, who has been using recycled materials in her own work for over twenty years. In a workshop coinciding with the exhibition 'Reworked', a national competition of art made from recycled goods, pupils will each make a personalised hat to go on a hat stand constructed by the group.
At the end of the week the finished piece will remain as part of the 'Reworked' exhibition and families will be invited to a special viewing of the piece.
The project, which forms part of the Gallery's Education Outreach Programme is funded by the Arts Council of Wales.
