9th February - 28th February
Upper Gallery - Ioan Humphreys

Inspired by Swansea’s morning boat-life, Humphreys uses a modest colour scheme coupled with abstract and minimalist marks to capture the vastness of the sea. His horizons intricately question divisions between land and sea, paint and board, nature and technology whilst challenging the viewer’s sense of perspective.

9th February - 28th February
Lower Gallery - James Charlton

Charlton returns to the Washington Gallery with a new, largely monochromatic, collection of paintings in a heightened figurative style. His black and white palette draws out the shades of the canvas, utilizing background to inform the shapes of his work. Charlton is a member of the music group Cymbient.

9th February - 28th February
Round Room - Stephanie Tuckwell

Recently awarded a scholarship from the Embroiderer’s Guild London, Tuckwell’s textile creations fuse drawing and scripted forms with her three dimensional fabric pieces. Tone and textures weave a personal history, belief and meaning to her work. Tuckwell’s pale palette forms a sensory and vibrant collection worth viewing in this specially designed environment.
