Anne Morgan: Contemporary Jewellery
1st-28th February Lower Gallery

Anne Morgan produces handmade jewellery that blends together a unique combination of organic texture with simple geometry. Using experimental techniques, Anne fuses the relationships of form and surface to create jewellery of distinctive quality and unique design. A member of the Makers Guild in Wales, she shows work both nationally and internationally.

Anne produces both a commercial range of jewellery alongside more conceptual ranges, more suitable for exhibition although still very saleable. The work in this show features USB memory sticks and was developed with the support of the Arts Council of Wales. The idea behind the work is ‘wearable memories’.

Helaina Sharpley
1st-15th February Lower Gallery

Helaina Sharpley is a vibrant young artist who has always had a big passion for tea and everything tea related. She believes that tea is a drink for every occasion and therefore every tea set, every mug or cup and saucer can tell a different tale.

Helaina also has a deep interest in old architecture, mainly Edwardian and Victorian, that led her onto creating very linear drawings using pen and ink to capture the intricate details of the buildings. This led to using wire as another drawing material and all the pieces she now creates start as pen and ink drawings to then be translated into 2D/3D wire work.

Andrew Machon - Photographic Exhibition
22nd-26th February Upper Gallery

Andrew Machon is a PhD scientist and psychotherapist specialising as a life and work coach. For over twenty years he has worked as an infrared photo artist. The medium of infrared sits outside the visible light spectrum so Andrew has to sense his images rather than see them. This allows him, he believes, to include in his images glimpses beneath the superficial and material mantle of everyday living and nature.
