Maddi Pearn
An exhibition of recent work
1st-31st June
Lower Gallery
Naive, colourful work by the mixed-media artist Maddi Pearn. Pearn grew up locally, in Penarth, before going on to study at Bath Academy of Art and Bath Spa University. She has developed her own design and techniques, using acrylics and an unusual retro-layer method, combined with seaside material to create a drift sanded effect. Her paintings reflect the colours and textures of seaside and harbour, while capturing the mood with a visual unity of boats, seagulls, cats and seaside objects.

Seasons and Dreams
17th June-6th July
Upper Gallery
A new collection of work by Australian-born artist Alice Perceval. The pictures in this exhibition are a development of her continuing preoccupation with Nature and the Imagination. They explore the relationship between the two and the elusive and intangible quality that inhabits the space where they overlap.
