After the success of the last art workshop for young people with M.E., the Washington Gallery is planning to run a second one starting this summer. The workshop will be taught by painter Karen Coles, whose daughter has had M.E. for a number of years, with photographer Suzanne Greenslade assisting.

The artists will visit the participants in their homes where they will be able to set the pace of the work produced. The theme for the workshop will be ‘Into the Light’ as Karen’s work is about light and dark. A selection of pieces produced in the workshop will be displayed in the Washington Gallery.
Last year’s exhibition was of excellent quality and generated a great deal of publicity. If you are interested in participating or would like more information about the upcoming workshop please contact the education officer at the gallery.
