Penarth Pavilion Photography Competition Exhibition

Following the very successful photographic competition and subsequent exhibition, we are pleased to announce that the complete collection is remaining on display at the Washington Gallery and is currently being scheduled for tours in and around South Wales. The winning entry, decided by public vote, was the remarkable photograph shown here, taken by local photographer Mark Rosoman, of a lightning bolt striking the end of the pier.

The standard of all the entries was very high, and all of the entries are now on sale at the gallery as framed prints for £45, with all proceeds going to the Pavilion Project.

The wave of public interest for the exhibition reflects the passion that the local community have for the restoration of this iconic building, and the support for PACL’s ongoing Heritage Lottery bid.

The tour of the exhibition will be finalised soon, and details will be published on the web site and in local media; we have also planned to publish all 86 entries on a book.

PACL thanks everyone involved in making this competition and exhibition a success.
